County Expedition 2008
Central Yorkshire Scout County officially launched its 2008 expedition to Kenya on Tuesday 27th February. Peter Drake the Expedition Leader presented information to an audience of 120. The preliminary dates are 26 July to 17 August 2008. The projected costs are £2000 plus air travel. The pricing will include food, insurance, land travel in Kenya, accomodation, visit to Game Park and group equipment. The three sections include mountaineering on Mt Kenya, camel trekking in the Matthews Range and Community Project. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred section but this will not guarantee placing. The expedition is open to Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members plus adult leaders. Applications must be with Peter Drake by 1 May 2007 at which date applications will be invited from South Yorkshire Scout County. You can download the application form from the attached pdf
