Calverley Millennium Walk with 9th. Airedale

Sunday 15th. January 2006

Stephen Lock, ASL, lead a a circular walk of about 10km (6 miles) starting and finishing at the Railway Inn on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, near Calverley Bridge (grid reference SE222368).

The route was not particularly strenuous, going across the canal and through fields climbing up above Calverley and crossing Woodhall Road via the Golf Course. The walk then followed the Leeds Country Way down through the woods to Apperley Bridge, where we rejoined the canal following it back to the Railway Inn.

Allowing 3 hours gave ample time to enjoy the views and stop for a snack.
