Training Information

Below is a list of Module training that is available for all Leaders and Assistants.

Getting Started

Everyone joining Scouting is required to do Module 1 which is Essential Information.

Regular Assistants are required to complete Modules 1: Essential Information and Module 3 which is Tools for the Job. 

Warrant applicants are required to complete Module 1: Essential Information, Module 2 which is a Personal Learning Plan and Module 3: Tools for the Job before their Warrant can be requested from Scout Headquarters.

Wood Badge Training

Modules 1 to 19 cover the requirements for Warranted Leaders to complete their formal Scout training and the awarding of the Wood Badge.

Modules 1 to 25 cover the requirements for Group Scout Leaders and Commissioners to complete their formal Scout training and the awarding of the Wood Badge.

For your information

Other dates will be added as the training needs are established.

Some Modules can be done at home using a computer and a CD Training Disc and validated at a later date. The Training Discs are available from Lynda Parkinson our Local Training Manager.

Leaders who have already completed Leadership 1 and Leadership 2 can contact Lynda to discuss what Modules they have to do to be awarded their Wood Beads.
