Expedition Dates

DATES for September 2008 to May 2009

We are publishing the dates well in advance in order that you are all informed of the activities on offer over the next 10 months.  We expect that the majority of you will be attending all the activities and would appreciate your full co-operation with forms / deadlines / etc. there will be no excuses for late applications.  Final details will be available before each event.

BRONZE

Practice/ Assessment	14th September 2008	Day hike in/around Ilkley area – full kit to be carried as if you are on Expedition – this will incorporate the Navigation day
Expedition	4th – 5th October 2008	Full Expedition – 2 days, 1 night – full kit to be carried.  Only those assessed as capable will be allowed to participate.  Campsite: Bramhope

SILVER

Practice/ Assessment	4th – 5th October 2008	2 days, 1 night – full kit to be carried as above.  Campsite: Thornthwaite
Expedition	25th – 27th October 2008	Full Expedition – 3 days, 2 nights – full kit to be carried.  Only those assessed as capable will be allowed to participate.  Location: Yorkshire Dales / Swaledale

GOLD

Practice/ Assessment	25th – 27th October 2008	Yorkshire Dales / Swaledale as above – 3 days, 2 nights
Expedition	4th – 9th April 2009	Full Expedition – 4 days, 3 nights (plus at least 48 hrs to be spent in the area prior to the Expedition).  Only those assessed as capable will be allowed to participate.  Location: to be decided – possibly Lake District – participants to make final decision. External Assessment by D of E Panel
