First Response First Aid Course

All warranted leaders must hold at least a First Response (or equivalent) First Aid Certificate at Warrant Review. However all Leaders are encouraged to maintain a First Aid Certificate at all times.

MODULE 10 FIRST RESPONSE COURSE

A first Response course has been arranged for Saturday March 15^th, to be held at 1^st Wetherby HQ.

Applications should be submitted direct to David Marsh at the address below.  Application forms are available on the County website using the attached link http://www.cycscouts.org.uk/content_files/99.pdf.  Do not fill out the online form and submit, this goes to County.  The PDF version can be saved and sent via e-mail, or you could use snail mail.  Applications will be processed on an “as received basis” there will be 15 places available. Further courses will be run dependant on applications received.

The course will commence at 10.00 and last approx 6 hours.  A packed lunch will be required, drinks will be provided.  Uniform is not necessary, there will be a need for practical work which will include kneeling and laying down.

Leaders who already hold an alternative first aid certificate from another provider need to provide evidence, certificate of completion to ensure that at appointment review they have a valid first aid qualification.  It would be useful if all leaders holding alternative certificates let me know, along with expiry date, so that District training records can be kept up to date.
