New Adult Support Publications

The new resources to help us support adults in Scouting are now available. In response to feedback on the previous adult support publications, the new ones have been designed in the format of "information sheets". Each section of each publication has been written as a standalone information sheet and these are available individually or as a pack. The publications now available are:

A step by step to recruiting adults in a proactive way

Induction: starting adults in a new role

By inducting adults well into Scouting, we are more likely to keep them. This covers how do it putting together welcome packs and induction plans and how to go about agreeing goals.

The Induction Toolkit

A new version of a popular resource. The Induction Toolkit has all the generic information on Scouting that is ideal to help you put together a locally produced welcome pack. Extended to cover District and County roles.

Support within Scouting

Takes a look at the support available in Scouting locally and nationally and how to make the best of them. Also helps managers in Scouting assess and improve the support they give.

Review: helping adults choose the right path

What is a review and why is it important? Taking you through the stages of review, preparing for a review, conducting a review and advice on how to record the outcomes of review. Covers the new review process! To view the publications log on to: www.scouts.org.uk/adultsupport
The publications are available to download for free from the website, or can be purchased from the Information Centre.

The Appointment Process (Training Material) for Appointments sub-Committees - 2nd Edition available now. As a response to demand, these two publications now come with colour covers!
