ACTIVITY NEWS FROM PONTEFRACT AND CASTLEFORD FELLOWSHIP

Eleven members of Pontefract and Castleford Scout Fellowship enjoyed a weekend away at Kettleness (near Whitby) 10th -12th November. We stayed in the old railway station which has been converted by Cleveland Scouts into a hostel sleeping 47. It is very comfortable accommodation set in "Heartbeat" country and an ideal base for all sections of scouting.
Our caterers are exceptionally gifted and we enjoyed wonderful meals. Most of the party went for a walk on Saturday, along the Cleveland Way, setting off in clear sunny weather, but ending in a rain and wind lashed afternoon!
The weekend finished with a walk around Runswick Bay followed by a carvery at the Raven Hall Hotel, complete with stunning views over Robin Hoods Bay.
When's the next one, please, please?
