 The system allows participants to download photographs, reports and blogs and once a section of the Award is completed all the information recorded can be downloaded on a PDF which will give a complete history of their award success. Nationally there are 275,000 participants in the scheme and around 28% of this number goes on to gain an award. Within Central Yorkshire our success rate is below the national average, approximately 15%

With the approach of the Expedition Season please remember that all qualifying expeditions must now be accessed by a D of E accredited assessor. A number of leaders within Central Yorkshire have gained accreditation and they have agreed to have their contact details published and may be approached to give assistance in assessing expeditions.

Volunteering service within the Scout Movement.

A reminder please that any Volunteering carried out within the Scout Movement requires that participants undertake some Young Leader Training modules as per the details listed below. If participants are using eDofE then certificates of attendance can be added to their volunteering details. For those recording by means of their Keeping Track booklet, which currently has no space to record training, it is important that evidence of training is submitted with the Keeping Track booklet when submitted for validation.

New prices for registration effective 1^st April 2011

The registration forms for entry to the D of E Scheme have been amended to show the increase cost applied from the 1^st April 2011.

NB. New prices for Welcome Packs effective from 1^st April 2011.

Please return form with payment for £15 for Bronze/Silver or £21 for Gold.  NB An extra £1 has been added to the participant’s fee to cover the cost of postage. Cheques made payable to Central Yorkshire County Scout Council.
