As the weekend drew nearer once again snow began to fall on the crew erecting tents, by this time the heated marquee was up and ready together with the hot drinks station.

Friday night arrived and everyone was met by hundreds of twinkling lights. Despite some traffic problems everyone arrived safely. Troops formed in the marquee and set off to their camps. Everyone got together in the marquee for a welcome before being put into their agent teams. This was followed by supper and a silent disco.

Saturday morning dawned dry and it was up for breakfast and get ready for the days activities. The challenges put on by the climbing team on the Andrews Tower together with the zip wire. Various crafts were available together with indoor shooting and archery. The cave bus, high ropes and Laser Tag proved very popular. The evening meal was great fun, followed by the campfire. Fireworks followed and the evening finished off with a film.

Sunday was a team challenge on The Chevin where the Scouts were challenged to use a combination of teamwork, scouting and navigation skills to find as many points as possible in the given time, whilst avoiding being caught by agents from the Explorers. The weather was great and it was great to watch how well all the teams did .

Mid afternoon brought the official close of camp where Max and Ian thanked everyone for their help and support in making the event work so well.

The Yorkshire Challenge badge was mentioned during the camp and remember that this camp will  count for two or three bits of it , together with other bits of the challenge awards.
