Central Yorkshire County Scouts

Central Yorkshire Scout County serves the metropolitan areas of Leeds and Wakefield in the north of England. We have a vibrant membership which is over 6500 strong. Our Scout County is situated from Pontefract and Castleford in the south-east to Wetherby in the north.

We operate eight Scout Districts and host a wide variety of activity centres and campsites. We hope you can join us!

The Scout Movement

The Scout Association is the largest youth organisation in the world. There are 500,000 members in the UK alone. Scouting offers fun and exciting activities for girls and boys from the age of 6 - 25 years.

Scouting in the UK is organised through The Scout Association. Its purpose is to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritiual potential as individuals, as respsonsible citizens and as members of their local, national and internationals communities.
