Council members will be sent details of the procedure to be used during the meeting to indicate approval of agenda items. The Secretary and Treasurer are willing to stand for re-election. Additional nominations can of course be made for both positions.
Nominations for the election of members of the County Scout Council to serve on the County Executive Committee are invited. The Constitution provides for the election of eight members, each to serve for a period of two years. This year there are four places available for a two year term. Nominations should be made on the form that can be found at: AGM – Executive Nomination 2020
Nominations must be returned to Colin Harman, County Secretary, by Sunday 6th September 2020. Colin is happy to receive nomination forms by email. Nominations may be made and seconded by any adult member of any Scout Council in the County however only persons who are members of the County Scout Council are eligible to be nominated. Any non-Council member interested in joining the Executive Committee should contact the County Chair, firstname.lastname@example.org. There are some restrictions on being a trustee and hence on Executive Committee membership. These restrictions are given in POR rule 13.1.
Members wishing to stand for election should be aware that the Executive Committee normally meets 5 times a year on Monday evenings. Meetings are usually held in the County Office, Crossgates, Leeds, LS15 8QR but are at present held online using Microsoft Teams.
