EuroJam 2020 – The Phat Rascals hit Manchester!

Date: 31st Jan 2020 Author: Cathryn Atkinson

In January, our EuroJam unit (The Phat Rascals) headed to Manchester for a weekend of training for their upcoming adventure this summer. Bright and early Saturday morning, the unit met outside Dewsbury train station and hopped on board a train to Manchester. Once there, kit dropped and back out into the big city.

The patrols were set the challenge to visit as many places as possible on a Manchester monopoly board. The more placed visited, the more points won! The patrols strode around the city snapping photos in many places and gaining extra points for other challenges – like finding a Manchester bee or a policeman!

Once back at HQ that evening, the group planned more parts of their trip and discussed what they would like to do as part of their EuroJolly once the Jamboree has finished.

The weekend was a roaring success. The young people did the county proud and are well on their way to being fully prepared for their adventure this summer.
