The dates for Virtual Challenge20 are changing!

Date: 22nd Jun 2020 Author: Cathryn Atkinson

You may have seen the recent announcement from the Scouts about The Great Indoors Weekender – the fantastic national virtual camp taking place on the 11th – 12th July 2020. The event promises to contain a huge range of brilliant activities and entertainment for you to enjoy – make sure you and your young people don’t miss out.

We really want young people to be able to take part in both The Great Indoors Weekender and Virtual Challenge20 (which was also due to take place on the 11th – 12th July 2020). To that end, we have made the decision to move Virtual Challenge20 to 8th – 9th August 2020.

Our team are still working incredibly hard to ensure that Virtual Challenge20 is an incredible weekend of fun, including a wide range of exciting activities and entertainment – so do make sure you have the new date for Virtual Challenge20 in your diaries. It’s going to be amazing! You can now join the Facebook group within which Virtual Challenge20 will be hosted – click the button below to head over to the group, and click “Join group”. You’ll be asked a few quick questions and then you’re in.

Please do pass on the event group link and event information to your young people. Remember, this is a unique Scouting event because leaders do not need to attend (although you’re, of course, more than welcome to should you wish to)! All we ask is that you share the event information with your young people as it comes out, and then they can arrange access to the event with their parents.

We’’d still love for you to submit your videos for Virtual Challenge20, so that we can ensure that it truly is a Central Yorkshire event. We have extended the deadline for video submissions to 6th July. For more information on the types of videos we are looking for and how to submit your video, click here.

We look forward to seeing you and your young people at Virtual Challenge20!
