First Aid

Is your First Response in date?  All adults whose role requires them to have a First Aid qualification, minimum of First Response needs to make sure they have completed a minimum of Module 10A by January 2022.

First aid training is an incredibly important module so we can all be confident we have the knowledge to act safely and provide treatment in emergencies.

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to use a blended learning approach developed by Hampshire Scouts.

Why do the Blended Learning?

There are many +++++ for both learners and trainers!

For you….

  • Step 1 – You can complete half the learning at your own speed and at a time that works for you!

  • Step 2 – Complete a 2.5 hours of ‘Zoom’ facilitated learning which is trainer led

  • Step 3 – This completes Module 10A and meets the minimum requirements

  • Step 4 … attend a 15 minute F2F session to complete the practical assessment which validates First Aid Practical (Module 10B)

For the trainers……

We can run 3xs the sessions in the same time than we can face 2 face

I understand Zoom won’t work for everyone but with the current numbers of adults who need to complete First Response by January I cannot put on the number of F2F courses that would be required………using this blended learning approach is a game changer!

Thank you for everything you are doing by attending virtual learning.
