Pears Project Team – Farewell!

Date: 29th Jun 2021 Author: Cathryn Atkinson

Over the last two and a half years the Pears project team have been working in Central Yorkshire to provide opportunities for more young people to get involved with Scouting. We have worked across seven Districts, opening new groups and missing sections as well as creating resources to support leaders with online Scouting during lockdown.

We have many highlights including going on camp, seeing Beavers doing their own washing up and escorting 50 new members through a field of horses! It has been amazing to see the positive impact that Scouting has made on the communities we have worked with.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped make these projects a success – we could not have done it without your help.

The project came to an end on the 31st March 2021 and we have unfortunately said goodbye to Lucy and Amy, two of the Development Team Assistants (although we’re sure you will see them around in their volunteer roles!).
