Covid-19 (Coronavirus) updates

Stay Safe Online

Date: 23rd Mar 2020 Author: Cathryn Atkinson

As we currently are unable to host face-to-face meetings in Scouting due to COVID-19, using platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams are a great way to hold meetings using the internet. Facebook groups are useful too, to share information and discuss Scouting.

It is important that we remember to think carefully about our online presence and what we post – once it is online, it is hard to be removed.

The Yellow Card still applies for Scouting online. Follow ratios, think about your online meetings and the number of adults you need and uphold our scouting values of integrity, care, respect, belief and cooperation.

Direct your young people to look at the Scout Association’s ‘Stay Safe’ booklets.
