Happy New Year!

Here we are in February 2026 with so many things to look forward to.

Having spent an evening in January at the City Varieties Rock and Roll version of Aladdin ……. or ‘A Lad in Leeds’ …..Pantomime, and celebrating with almost 600 young people at the weekend at our Annual Top Awards Day, I am excited to see what all our events across Central Yorkshire have in store for all involved.

Planning is well underway for our County Challenge 26 Camp at Bramham Park in July I hope to see many of you there.

Our sites at Bramhope and Aldwark are each fantastic places to have fun with your sections or by volunteering your skills to help others enjoy their time there. There are many opportunities for you to get involved and be part of the County Team which looks after and develops the sites. Aldwark now has upgraded shower and toilet facilities to complement the excellent activities which the Water Activity Team provides throughout the Summer season.

If you would be interested in finding out how you could support our centres with activities, maintenance or duty manager duties please contact our site manager Angie Foley.

Thank you for all that you do for all our Young People throughout Central Yorkshire.

Take care and ‘Be Prepared’

Carol
