Expedition Planning

The County has formed an Expedition Working Group to look at the delivery of expeditions over the next 10 to 15 years. This group will work in collaboration with the ACC International and the Programme Team to schedule expeditions alongside Jamboree, Moot and other international opportunities to enable young people and adult volunteers to take part in more, accessible, life changing adventures.

The County is currently in pre-planning for an expedition to Morocco in 2024 and further detail will be available in the coming year. Previous expeditions to Morocco have given the opportunity for both young people and adults to climb the highest mountain in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal (4167m) and support a Community Project for Moroccan children. Details will be circulated on the County website/e-news and social media.

Alongside this the County is also looking at supporting adult volunteers, and young people, to lead international visits by delivering training events in 2022.
