Scout Network (18-25 years)

Welcome to Central Yorkshire Scout Network

Scout Network is for everyone in Scouting who is aged between 18 and 25, who want to continue their Scouting journey after finishing Explorer Scouts. You do not have to be a volunteer in a section to be a member of Scout Network but if you are that’s great. The great thing about Scout Network is membership is FREE and you and the other Scout Network Members in your District decide what you do and when. With all activities and events based on a pay as you go.

Top Awards

The Top Awards available to Scout Network members are the Chief Scout’s Diamond Award; Queen’s Scout Award; Explorer Belt; Scouts of the World Award; and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (Bronze, Silver and Gold). If you want to know more about starting one of these awards please email our Assistant County Commissioner for Scout Network, Joyce Wright (joyce.wright@cycscouts.org.uk).

Have you already started your Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh? If so, email your eDofE number to our Assistant County Commissioner for Scout Network, Joyce Wright (joyce.wright@cycscouts.org.uk).  Your record can then be transferred to the Central Yorkshire County Scout Network.

Please be aware all Queen’s Scout Award must be signed off by our Assistant County Commissioner for Scout Network, who will need to discuss your award and your Queen Scout presentation. You must email our Assistant County Commissioner for Scout Network, Joyce Wright (joyce.wright@cycscouts.org.uk) before you start to arrange or complete your Queen Scout presentation. This is the only way your Queen’s Scout Award can be approved.

Contacting Scout Network Members

All Scout Network Members have to be on UK Scouting system Compass. It is your contact details from Compass that we use to contact you, so please check that your details on Compass are correct. If you are not sure if you are on Compass, or you are new/wanting to join Scouting, please email our Assistant County Commissioner for Scout Network, Joyce Wright (joyce.wright@cycscouts.org.uk) who will arrange for your details to be added to Compass as a Scout Network Member.
