Carol Milburn – County Lead Volunteer
May already…….Challenge 26 is now in sight.
The activities are booked; the entertainment is booked and some of us have started to sort out our clothes (Remember to order your t-shirts!!). We need to keep our eyes on the weather and make sure that we are ready for anything that the British Summer can throw our way! As the saying goes ‘There is no such thing as the wrong weather just the wrong clothing!!’
Thank you to all our leaders who are keeping up to date and checking their profile on the membership system. This is the best way to make sure that you are up to date with your mandatory and ongoing learning. We have made excellent progress with our Safety and Safeguarding compliance, and we now need to make the same progress with our First Response compliance.
There are 128 leaders across the County who need to either renew or do their First Response Training. Please make sure that you book onto a course as soon as possible and remember to do any online learning well in advance of your attendance on a course to validate it. It is also important to contact the Trainer if you are unable to attend. There are enough courses being offered around the County and some have indeed had to be cancelled because the places have not been filled.
I hope to see many of you at Challenge 26…….. hopefully in beautiful Summer weather.
‘Be Prepared’ have fun and take care
Carol
