Communication Improvements

Date: 7th Jan 2026 Author: Cathryn Atkinson

We’re really pleased to be resuming our County Newsletter this January. When we first started sending these in 2018, they proved an excellent way to engage volunteers in Central Yorkshire via a medium that almost everyone uses every day. We haven’t done so for a while and during that time have had feedback that communication isn’t always what it could be.

Some volunteers haven’t heard about news and events or do so when it’s too late. Sometimes messages have gone out on social media before they are announced on the website. The newsletter isn’t a fix-all, but we do think it’s an important step in ensuring communication is wide reaching, accurate and fair. We will ensure that all items within will be linked back to the County Website. You may still see reminders via social media of items contained in that months edition.

The newsletter will be sent on the 2nd Thursday of every month. If you have any feedback on any edition please provide it here: Newsletter Feedback  – Fill in form
