Summer Scout Group Climbing Sessions at The Climbing Hub. June, July and August 2026

This summer, we would be delighted to welcome your group to The Climbing Hub for an exciting and memorable climbing experience. (The Climbing Hub is at Beckside Business Park, Bradford)

Their sessions are designed for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, offering young people the chance to challenge themselves, build confidence, strengthen teamwork and communication skills, and enjoy a rewarding physical activity in a safe and supportive environment.

Whether you are looking for a fun evening out, a more structured badge-focused session, or a premium activity experience, we have a range of options to suit your group.

Option 1: 2 Hour Climbing Experience

A fun, active and engaging session, perfect for an evening visit or summer treat.

Includes:

• Full safety briefing
• Supervised climbing on our walls
• Fun climbing challenges tailored to the group

Price: £18 per participant
Minimum group size: 16 participants

Option 2: Scouts Climbing Activity Badge Session – 2 Hour

A more structured session designed to support Scouts working towards their Climbing Activity Badge while enjoying a hands-on introduction to climbing skills and safety.

Climbing is a fantastic way to develop resilience, communication, focus and trust — all qualities that fit naturally with the values of Scouting.

During the session, participants will cover elements including:

• Rope types used in climbing, and how to coil and care for them
• Correct fitting of helmets and harnesses
• Tying in safely
• Understanding climbing calls
• Taking part in four or more separate climbs
• Learning key safety rules for climbing on artificial and natural rock
• Exploring environmental considerations linked to climbing
• Understanding how to care for equipment and spot signs of wear

Price: £22 per participant
Minimum group size: 16 participants 

Option 3: Climbing Activity Badge & Tomahawk Throwing (Premium Option) 3 hour session

A longer and more varied session, ideal for summer programmes, end-of-term celebrations, or special group visits.

This premium option combines the structured climbing badge session with the exciting addition of tomahawk throwing, giving your group a unique and memorable adventure experience.

Includes:

• All climbing badge activities included in Option 2
• Introduction to safe tomahawk throwing
• Supervised target-based tomahawk activity

A tomahawk is a specially designed single-handed throwing axe used for target sports. Participants will learn how to throw safely and aim accurately under close supervision.

Price: £30 per participant
Minimum group size: 16 participants

Availability

All sessions are available on Saturdays after 4:00pm during the summer period (June, July and August).

Please note that cancellations are subject to a 20% cancellation fee and must be notified at least 2 weeks before.
