It’s great to see so many Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network Members achieving Challenge Awards in Central Yorkshire.

The Challenge Awards are:

  • Chief Scouts Acorn Award (Squirrels)
  • Chief Scouts Bronze Award (Beavers)
  • Chief Scouts Silver Award (Cubs)
  • Chief Scouts Gold Award (Scouts)
  • Chief Scouts Platinum Award (Explorers)
  • Chief Scouts Diamond Award (Explorers/Scout Network
  • Young Leader Award (Explorers)
  • Explorer Belt (Explorers/Scout Network)
  • Yorkshire Challenge Gold Award (All Sections)

To confirm that a Young Person has completed one of these Challenge Awards, click on the image above and fill out the form (one young person per form).  Please ensure that the name spelling is correct, all address fields are completed and the postcode is in the Royal Mail standard format ie LLNN NLL

Please submit details before 31st October 2025 for an invitation to our 2026 Awards Day.

For Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs, a Well Done postcard for each Young Person will arrive through their door as if by magic!

 

Duke of Edinburgh awards are dealt with separately by Ivor Drake and details will be passed to the Office for the Young People who have achieved them to be invited.

 

King’s Scout Awards are also dealt with separately as they are awarded via Scout HQ.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
