Hello all
There are lots of things on the Calendar at the moment . This weekend we have a few of our volunteers helping with Bramham Horse Trials reordering the jumps in the showjumping ring. This is a really good way for the visitors to the Horse Trials to see us as Scout Volunteers out and about. This volunteering builds our relationship with Bramham Park which enables Us as a County to hold our Challenge Camp on the estate and also Wetherby District to hold their District Camp there. I do hope that all those who have volunteered have a good time. We could do with more Volunteers next year to cover the 4 evening sessions so do watch out for the date next year June 2027……..in return for volunteering you do receive a pass to attend the event.
The next event at Bramham Park is Junior Warrior. Spaces for this event sell out within hours of going live so remember to collect your numbers for interest in the event early next year if you missed out this year. The places are advertised in early March each year and you need to be ready to book your spaces. It is rather disappointing that some Groups have not filled in their consent forms by the deadline. If your forms have not been filled in there is the possibility that you will not be able to take part…….Junior Warrior need these forms to issue running numbers.
It seems as though we are becoming regular attenders at Bramham Park as in just one months time we will be there again for our Challenge 26 County Camp. As I write this we have around 5,000 People attending for the weekend with over 300 activities to do and lots of entertainment to watch and take part in. We have a Challenge 26 Song and I hope that some of you have been putting your own dances to the Tune. Who will be the lucky person whose actions are chosen to be attempted by everyone on the Event. I am really looking forward to it and I hope that you are too. A huge Thank You to James, Alison and all the Team who are working so hard to get everything ready !
Remember to pack your Colourful Clothes ready for the Opening Ceremony on Friday 10th July in the main arena at 19.00
