Dear leaders and volunteers

We are excited to announce the launch of Festive Funday 2024!

When: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December – either morning (9 -1) or afternoon (2 – 6)

Where: Bramhope Scout Campsite, Occupation Ln, Bramhope, Leeds LS16 9HR

Who: for all Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs in Central Yorkshire Scouts

Cost: £15 (which includes the booking fee paid direct to the ticket and payment companies)

Does a leader need to attend?
Leaders do not need to attend for your Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs to attend. However, we would be grateful for as much or as little help as any leader may be able to volunteer. We do need approximately 80 adults on site for each session to both run the activities and support the children and young people. If you, or another adult, is able to volunteer for some or all of the weekend (even if it is to attend when your Squirrels, Beavers and / or Cubs are there) please let us know by completing the form below.

In line with POR (update March 2024 – 4.4.1.7) if your Squirrels / Beavers / Cubs  are attending without a member of the normal section team being present:

1. Get your GLV (GSL)’s permission to share the event with parents / guardians if there will not be their child’s usual section leader(s) in attendance for some / all of the sessions;
2. Make sure we have a record of that permission  (send it to carrie.pearson@cycscouts.org.uk);
3. Let the parents / guardians know in advance of booking that this is the case so they are fully informed.

Please remind them of your group name and district and your ‘real’ name and appropriate email address – that way we will let you know that they have attended for badge record purposes. We have started a ‘badge tracker’ so you will know what badgework your Squirrels, Beavers and/or Cubs have completed.
